The study investigates the impact of foreign remittance and economic complexity on carbon (CO2) emissions by using the data for Asian countries over the period of 1990-2018. Carbon emissions is used as a proxy for climate change. For empirical analysis, this study uses second generation methodology which control the heterogeneity in the data. For long-run estimation, Cup-FM and Cup BC methods are employed, and their results indicate that foreign remittance increases carbon emissions, while economic complexity reduces carbon emissions.
